As the writer behind the Foreign Ministry’s, she even helped advertise Denmark itself.

A former reporter and copy editor for Dow Jones and The Wall Street Journal, Kay understands how the business world works. She was the editor of Danske Magazine, Danske Bank's internal magazine, which went out to 23,000 employees of the bank in 7 different languages and was named one of the top 3 internal magazines in Europe. Kay knows how to make corporate news fresh, intriguing and challenging without stepping on too many toes. Past external clients include Grundfos and Widex.


A former staff translator for the Danske Bank Group, Kay has translated for Danish unions, universities, start-up IT firms, and a fertility clinic. Kay can translate into either U.S. English or British English, according to your house style, and specializes in making somewhat dry topics sound exciting and entertaining.

Kay has provided voiceovers for a wide range of Copenhagen agencies and sound studios, specializing in “Female Business Voice” – professional but friendly; warm, yet authoritative. Because of her experience in television journalism, she often works with the client to streamline and improve scripts for a more 'natural' English sound. Her assignments have included e-learning, corporate videos, and app voiceovers.  She also appears regularly on-camera on TV2, a national Danish television network.

She has also produced content for corporate intranets at Danske Bank and Carlsberg Breweries, as well as editing and coaching employees at those companies in how to write for online readers.
